Yep, this is why the Dutch king is apparently getting certified on the 737:

That little Fokker was my favorite Fokker of all.

Growing up in an aviation household, that may be the oldest dirty joke/pun in my entire life. This makes me sad.

I’ve only ever flown on a Fokker once (think it was a 100??), was the noisiest jet I have ever been on, not pleasant at all.

That’s awesome. Back in the days when you went flying in a three-piece wool suit

All I can takeaway from this is that I love these cute rear engine jets, and my oh my is Fokker handsome.

Also, screw Alaska (I know, this is KLM) for making me love liveries with portraits on the vertical stabilizer.

Ha yes, I love the 1960s-1980s jets the best, and have a bunch of 727 models - including that airplane in the livery just before that one. It’s huge though, well over 2ft long.

As for Alaska the sight of the benevolent Eskimo is a great relief to those of us who travel to the west coast.
